Seven Sundays Case Study

The Challenge

Every idea, brand, and business needs to share a carefully produced message to specific people, in specific areas, for a specific purpose.  This can mean multiple videos for multiple target markets.  This can also mean videos of different length to be featured on websites or youtube advertisements.  Working with small businesses is delicate because we need to form a partnership where we can both trust each other, and communicate ideas.

The Solution

For this commercial shoot, I was invited over for a brunch they were hosting with some friends.  I have a friend working for them, and randomly bumped into them around town, and so began a comfortable relationship before the shoot.  Arriving, I didn’t know what to expect in terms of lighting, or set up, but had laid out some ideas beforehand and collected a lot of footage.  I spoke with them at the delicious, formal, yet casual brunch about their target market and what they hoped the videos might accomplish for their one year old business.  The result is a collection of videos I presented for their first review.  Typically, my clients will receive video drafts (one longer video 1-2 min, one shorter video 30-45 sec) at a specified date, when they can provide two sets of revisions. (changing content, colors, digital assets, logos, voice-over talent, etc.)  We can also produce extra videos with the same content, which is a great opportunity to leverage the media already captured changing songs/messages/target markets for youtube ads, kickstarter campaigns, and social media.
